Dear Manager or Coach,
The Tournament of Champions Committee will be hosting their 54TH Annual Hockey tournament in February of 2025 in Brandon, Manitoba (CAN). The tournament’s goal is to provide a competitive tournament for Rep teams only.
This tournament will be a round robin format with each team guaranteed 4 games. Final selection for teams who have registered, will be made by the tournament committee in late October or early November of 2024. Please note that not all teams will be accepted into the tournament. Upon verification of acceptance your entry fee will be due within 2 weeks of acceptance. If tournament fee is not received, we will go to our wait list for the next team.
Please visit our website for registration info at: http://www.tournamentofchampionsbrandon.ca
Brandon is situated in the southwest corner of the Province of Manitoba, with a population of just over 48,000 people. We are a 2-hour drive from Winnipeg’s James Armstrong Richardson’s International airport and home to Brandon’s Municipal Airport with WestJet arriving and departing out of daily. We have a great working relationship with Brandon Bus Lines who have driven other travel teams around for their weekend stay.
We are fortunate to have a complex that has 3 ice surfaces under one roof. The Keystone Centre is home to 3 NHL sized ice surfaces. Our main arena, 5,101 seat Westoba Place, is home to the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League and serves not only as an ice rink, but can be converted to host concerts, and agricultural exhibitions. It is also used for large graduations and tradeshow space for Manitoba Ag Days. Westoba Place is fully serviced with 4 dressing rooms, 3 concessionaires, adequate bathrooms, and a Private Suite level. Westoba Place is also serviced by a few vendors for major events and hockey games.
The Keystone Centre is also home to the Enns Brothers Arena and Flynn Arena, known as our twin arenas. Their unique parallel design allows them to share a concessionaire. Each arena has 5 dressing rooms, 4 dressing rooms and a female only dressing room, portable bleachers (900 capacity), electronic score clocks and in-arena sound system. Bathrooms for each arena are conveniently located on our “Main Street” concourse.
The other facilities we use are the Sportsplex which has an Arena, Olympic sized swimming pool and 3 Racquetball courts located on the North Hill in Brandon. We also use the newly built J and G Homes Arena, which features 6 dressing rooms, an upper concourse viewing area and an ice level fully licensed restaurant called King’s Kitchen.
The Tournament of Champions has several sponsoring hotels which are near all arena venues. The committee will be responsible for allotting teams into the hotels.
We will provide a competitive environment with staff on-site at all our hockey venues.
Brandon is home to WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings. We will do our best to accommodate teams for them to attend a WHL game while in town.
